Based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, I have been a digital designer since 1992 working for many London Agencies through Tickbox Creative.
I am contracted out by Tickbox to provide a supporting roll to creative teams within Agencies, typically my roll is to provide 3D services and compositing services using Maxon's Cinema 4D and/or Adobe After Effects.
I think in 3D which helps when finding solutions to problems posed by clients. I remember this rubix cube for Girardot posed a bit of a challenge a few years ago.
Created pre MoGraph, I had to find a solution to how each block would follow some strict rotational constraints combined with hierarchal groupings to achieve the correct rotations for each individual cube.
I am primarily a Mac user but have been known to fly a PC occasionally to!
I have also taught many organisations and individuals through training companies. The most recently training centre, Symbiosis.
Holding classes of small groups I developed my own series of course notes, exercises and tasks which I tailored for the various industries. Giving practical and relevant C4D skills for their particular 3D requirements.
Some of the delegates include BBC News, Estee Lauder, Burberry Mammoth graphics and Arc. Recently I have started producing on-line tutorials and hope to produce a full range of tutorials in the months ahead to help fellow C4D artists with their projects.
A strong believer in running a tight ship, I keep projects well orgainsed and documented, knowing that most projects I work on have tight deadlines I have become very accustomed to documenting everything, from that all important timesheet through to render logs and schedules . This allows me to work on numerous projects at the same time and to always know were a project is as any given time, what the next action is and when it needs to be done by. For the Yesterday's World Queen Victoria installation I had over 40,000 frames to render, catalogue and collate for the post edit in After Effects. An organised and well managed project delivered the installation on time and within budget.
